Chile's superintendencia de electricidady combustibles (SEC) is the national body that formulates regulations on electrical products in Chile. Chile's national agency sec (super intensity of electricity and combustible fuels) has passed safety and energy efficiency regulations and adopted recognized laboratories and certification bodies to control the electrical, gasoline and fuel products entering Chile's market. Before the products are sold to the Chilean market, they must pass one of the certification modes (there are many certification modes, and the first, second and sixth certification modes will be introduced below) to obtain the recognition certificate, SEC QR code (as shown below) and energy efficiency certificate.

Chile implements compulsory certification for some household appliances. The product range covered by order 399 is detailed in the "list of compulsory certification electrical products" published on the website of the electrical and flammable substances Supervision Committee“ The list of compulsory certification electrical products currently includes about 100 kinds of products. About 30 of them should be tested using Chilean standards. Other products are tested and certified according to IEC standards. In principle, SEC directly adopts IEC standard or equivalent Chilean standard. Chilean NCH standards for electrical products in Chile are based on IEC standards; The certification system for electronic products, such as consumer electronic products, telecommunication equipment and information technology equipment, is still under development.

Certification Type:
Chile's SEC has six plans, and the following three are suitable for China:
Certification mode 1: including formal test + evaluation of each subsequent batch
Mode 1 process: 1 provide at least 3 samples for testing and obtain approval certificate and SEC QR code. After obtaining approval certificate, SEC QR code must be pasted on the product.
2. After the approval certificate is issued, the customer / applicant must inform us of each batch of goods exported to Chile
We will take a certain number of samples according to the quantity of goods after each batch of goods arrive at the port, and do the necessary tests. Only products that pass the test can be put on the market
Certification mode 2: including formal test + factory inspection + semi annual product evaluation test + semi annual market spot check
Mode 2 process:
1. At least 3 samples shall be provided for testing, and the approval certificate and SEC QR Code shall be obtained. After obtaining the approval certificate, the SEC QR code must be pasted on the product.
2. After the certificate is issued, it will be sampled from the market once a half year (the Chilean laboratory institution is in Chile) and from the factory once a half year.
Conduct annual factory inspection once a year (the certificate is valid for a long time, as long as the factory inspection and sampling are accepted)
Certification mode 6: foreign certification + supervision and testing of each batch of goods
Mode 6 process:
1. The importer must first submit the certification certificate (such as GS VDE TUV mark UL, etc.) obtained by Chile sec!
Please note that the foreign certification that can be recognized must be issued by a foreign certification authority recognized by the IAF member or contracting country, and the certificate can be found on the certification authority's website.
The importer will inform us of the arrival of the imported goods, we will arrange sampling and simplified testing and obtain the certificate of approval.

2. The test unit is determined by the model involved in the test. Please confirm the test unit with us before the test.
3. For products that need to be evaluated in terms 19, 11, 4, 1 to 19, 11, 4, 7 (EMP), the test report must be provided by ILAC laboratory and submitted to us for evaluation.
4. Chile sec protocol requires verification that the size of the plug meets Chile's requirements. And only data from laboratories authorized by the SEC will be accepted.
